I am looking for new speakers for my Buzzbomb, and I will most likely be getting rid of my 412, and earcandy 112.

I have heard a lot of good things about P50Es, and a lot of good things about Scumback H75/M75 mix. Anyone try these speakers in a Buzzbomb?? Anyone have experience with both of those speakers??

What amp?
The P50's are great speakers, but are voiced for VHT/Fryette amps. Think of them as V30's with tight bottom end and smooth top end.
Never tried the Scumbacks. But I have tried Celestion 75, CL80, G12H30, V30, MC90 and EVM in my 2x12 Buzzbomb.
Overall, I liked the MC90 and CL80 best in the buzzbomb. Worked best with the most variety of amp heads.

I have tried a lot of speakers in my buzzbomb, and I keep going back to greenmachines, or G12K-100s.

I am using my Peters, and soon a Mako Mak4 rack, and if I end up keeping it the Wizard Metal

Well,

Eminence makes P50's

Weber makes Scumbacks.

Do you generally prefer one over the other?

It can go either way.

Personally, the robotic quality consistency of Modern Eminence speakers is second to none.

but,

The mojo of a couple of ceramic blue dog webers was absolutely magical.

I'm afraid you'll have to buy them all.

I have been through a lot of speakers, amps, and pickups. I have found two guitars that I really like, and pickups that are great. My peters amp has been with me for almost 3 years now (that is a record for me), I have also had my buzzbomb for a couple of years now. In that time I have had 3 different 412s, and I preferred the buzzbomb every time with the right speakers. I am looking into the P50E, and the Scumback speakers because I have heard a lot of great things about them. I have had a lot of different eminence models, and I think that I like them better then almost every celestion that I have tried except the G12K-100. I am planning on simplifying my setup over the next little while to just the Buzzbomb, and boogafunk cabs, Ibanez, and PRS guitars, Peters, and Mako amps. I am planning on getting rid of everything else (unless I start to gel with the Wizard Metal or don't gel with the Mako).

I currently use my Peters Dual Channel (Gryphon/Halo) with a Buzzbomb and Mesa MC90's.
Sounds huge, tight and smooth. More like a 4x12

Mine has the Warhawk (was changed into the Gryphon)

I might have to try it through a mesa cab with MC90s. I do know I didn't care for MC90s when I had my F-50.

Thanks for the advice!!!

Yeah, but something magical happens to MC90 speakers in the buzzbomb.

Now the question is, is there a big difference between the Mesa MC90, and the WGS British lead. If I remember right the MC90 is a lot like a Celestion CL80

This is why I use both! One P50E and one Weber 1225 stan spec in my 2x12...Best of both worlds!
