Maybe swap the BE-OD for a Dirty Shirley OD and crank the inside potti.

The parametric can be more effective than a graphic because graphic EQs don’t have adjustable Q (bandwidth), which makes it impossible to tune how sharp the boosted or cut spike or notch is. You end up boosting more of the signal on a graphic than you would with a parametric, which is also sort of a problem with a pedal version also, there just isn’t room on a typical small format pedal for all the controls needed to implement all the functions needed to make it truly effective, the rack mount is usually best, but the pedals aren’t a ton of money so try one and see if it works for you.
For the rack versions that were mentioned, is there any problem with the signal being too hot going in front of the pedal chain, or will that work ok?

The Furman (and the others as they're basically copies of the Furman anyway) has a preamp built into it as well, which gives about 20-25db of gain before whatever you put it in front of IF you use the LOW level ins and outs, if you use the HI level ins and outs, you bypass the preamp section and it's just an EQ, the LOW level ins and outs are what all the LA guys used without any OD pedals, so you may not need both OD pedals...the real problem with the Furman is it sounds like a fish fry when you use it like this, way too much hiss, so a noise gate is needed right after it. The TC one is supposed to be silent but I have no experience with it. Signal level will be fine before any pedal, not any different than running the pedal in an amp loop.

If you just have something in the mids you want done that Airis looks like it would be simple and effective.
I was just checking that out...simple as it gets right there! Curious to see a review on this when it gets released.

I've been wondering about this pedal too...got to try to find one to test drive.

Got it...OK, I'm definitely intrigued, going to add this to my "project list" (evergrowing, hah!!) Thanks again for all the info!
