Passive Line Level Splitter

Hey all!

Does such a thing exist?

Firstly... thanks for all the info on pedals and loops... I'm in the process of letting all my pedals go and found a lovely SIMPLE old Lexicon MPX 110 (I used to have 100 years ago) and it's beautiful... only two effects at once, but still sounds amazing...

So, more research for potential additions... I currently have the effect send on my Combo driving the Lexicon, and one out feeding my powered 2x12... so 2/3 of a W/D/W... sounds brilliant. Great control of the levels, clear, open, nice dry signal just in the Combo, and I can control the w/d ratio in the 2x12...

But, one day might think of splitting the effect loop out signal, feed the Lexicon, and have a second effect unit looped back into the Combo for more fun and variation...

Just in the initial thought stages, and I don't have to be practical as far as switching between effects/units... more just thinking of a lovely line level unit like another Lexicon and have a chorus/detune in the Combo's loop, and delays/reverbs in the 2x12...

So!!! What's a good solution? A line level splitter? Passive?

Any and all thoughts greatly appreciated as always!

I bet that your FX send is low impedance and splits beautifully with no negative side effects using just a Y-adapter. So yeah, that's a passive split.

Sir, that is FAR to simple an answer!!!!!

Don't you know that my time on the TGP boards demand not only HUGE answers, but angst, sarcasm, bitterness, and outright mockery???

Such disappointment... ugh...

:)

LOL!! I'll second Dave L's suggestion. Low impendence signals split just fine. :)

Awesome!

I was looking into a Galaxy Audio 4 way passive splitter, but it's not even $30... but hell, a simple Y-splitter is only $6!!!!

Got a local bead on a Lexicon LXP-1 with a controller... might trade my Carbon Copy Deluxe!

Woot!

I like the look of those Galaxy splitters over a Y-cable, just for stability. If you're putting them in a rack, you can mount them on the side behind everything. The physical integrity of a Y-cable always concerns me.
However, electrically there's no difference.

I thought about building my own box, but really a box and 5 1/4" jacks is going to coast about $15 in parts.

It's too bad they discontinued the Rane SM26... now THAT was a splitter (and mixer, and level shifter, and balanced/unbalanced convertor). :D

^^^^

I had one back in the day when I was close (well, not really) to mimicking Alex Lifeson's "A SHOW OF HANDS" rig...
