How in the hell did i miss this album??????? Go to youtube and check out these guys. Specifically Paul Gilbert's album United States. Freddie Nelson is from Pittsburgh and Paul is from Greensburg so for me they are kinda local. Freddie Nelson can sing! Example

The album is a throwback to bands like Queen and Cheap Trick but with PG's shreddy leads. Great music throughout!!!!! PG you have once again inspired me!!!

Actually think they're close the same age. Saw Freddie a few times in the late 80's/early 90's when he was playing with Triple X out of Pittsburgh. Really liked that band.

United States is a killer album......have had it in heavy rotation for years

Jimi Kidd is his uncle and they released a blues album.
 
Aside from Racer X "United States" is my favorite PG vocal album. Freddie Nelson's vocal's compliment Gilbert's writing and playing perfectly. Gilbert still shreds his ass off on this, instead of his current bluesy meanderings.

The best overall PG album EVER. For once he works with a good singer.
 
I also love Paul's 'pop' albums he sings on, much prefer them to his instrumental ones
 
One of my favorite 'recent' albums. Just fantastic.
The Last Rock and Roll Star is so much fun! Great song on any level and rush-inducing ski or pre-sky dive rave-up tune.

 
Great album, did not know he was doing another, great news! And yeah Jimi Kidd is his uncle, that's also a great album.
 
Love the first release, Paris Hilton look alike is fantastic. If I had any criticism/wish it would be that Freddie did all of the singing (sorry Paul!)
