Just plain not fair! Look at those damn spider fingers man.........and he makes it look so darn easy too........just sick

ugh I hate his Vintage Modern tones...

he needs to go back to his old Racer X modded Marshall tones!

nevertheless, he's my favorite guitarist and I have his PGM100 to prove it! :D

I think Paul Gilbert might be the best guitar player ever.

He is a monster player, a guy at sam ash gave me a copy of his instructional DVD which also has backing tracks to all his new album on it. I'll be honest as impressive as he is, I don't really enjoy listening to him all that much, his tone is a bit grainy for me, or something... I don't know I feel it's a bit lifeless. And his playing is a bit to surgical for me if that even makes sense?

watching stuff like this just makes me want to hang up playing guitar.

Saw Paul Gilbert teaching at GIT when i took a tour of the place. He's a great teacher, and a monster player.

Love Gilbert! Saw him at a guitar clinic back in Boston around 1989. Awesome player! I atucally like his vocals. I know he takes some crap for them at times.

Incredibly cool guy and a monster player, but I can't listen to him for any length of time due to my strong dislike of his tone...across all phases of his career I've never liked it.

I love PG...but not so much his tone. IMO, it has always been bad, Laney/Marshall/Whatever. If he keeps playing like this I will keep buying the records though!

I love Paul Gilbert. There is a sense of humour about his playing that I really enjoy. I saw him at a seminar right before Mr. Big put out their first album, I had heard alot about him being in Racer X but had never heard him, man, oh man, needless to say I almost quit playing right then.

Just throwing this out there, have you ever noticed that you don't see Paul Gilbert and Buckethead in the same place at the same time?
I'm just sayin... ;)

there are definitely "better" players, but paul's appeal to me is that he's such an advocate for people trying to learn and he stays grounded

Nor do you see him and Pete Willis together.

When Paul and Racer X where first going....I think in '88 or '89 they came to my bud's after hours party after playing a small club in Fresno, CA. Paul picks up my friend's POS Takamine acoustic with action 12 miles high and just shredded our faces off......I'll never forget that.......he was super tall and super cool to BS with...
