I can only imagine the interest being made from holding peoples money.

That's the sole reason this shit keeps happening. It's THEIR money until released.

This showed email showed up in my inbox a couple days ago, preceded by some other email about "Terms and Use Update for eBay". I don't use eBay for much of anything any more, but PP I do... I checked out the email and it gave me this link to check out "if at all I wanted to see details":

https://www.paypal.com/ca/webapps/mpp/u ... le.x=en_CA

So - they'll fuck you on the exchange rate and fuck you again on refunds if there's an exchange rate, oh, and they'll top up any deficiencies automatically in your account with the linked payment methods you already have established.
I don't know about you, but these are rather "significant" changes and something that should be front and centre when sending out an email saying "some changes are being made, but don't worry, nothing needs doing on your end, you can happily delete this email, and likely should, as it's really nothing, seriously, just some policy stuff and legalese noise, nonsense really...but if you have nothing better to do and HAVE to read something, here's a little link to see the details. But we recommend you just....like, go do something else. It's nothing. Seriously."

Fuckers.

Ventura is right, I got that email and deleted it. Why?

Because about 99% of my payments are made through paypal, and if I stopped accepting that, then a huge nightmare of checking ID's, cards, and other crap starts with a new credit card processor. And those CC processors have a pretty set $40-50 per month fee, plus their 3% charges.

So I may as well suck it up and put up with paypal since it's marginally cheaper and way less paperwork than the separate CC processors.

Sucks, but it is what it is....but Ventura is still right.

Fuckers.

I thankfully read the email. I am at the point where I am not going to sell online via PayPal.

I will still use PayPal to buy only.

those are NOT small changes. Bastards.
