Peavey 6505 knob replacement?

So I have a Voodoo 6505 that could be a keeper. I'm thinking of replacing the black knobs with some strategic colors, such as blue on the rhythm pre and post gain, red on the lead pre & post....I saw someone sold a 5153 here awhile back and had knob replacements, but I can't find the thread.

Do you think this would work?

Shaft diameter and type are important.
I don't like putting screw set knobs on split shaft pots, so I look for the push-on.

Check these out. I seem to recall the 6505 pots had a 1/4 shaft diameter. If you have calipers you should measure them, or email peavey and ask for knob specs.

that peavey 6505 is going to have 3/16" shaft pots compared to the normal 1/4? shafts in most other amps. the only different color knobs I have found that are a direct replacement are white ones that come directly from peavey. the 1/4" knobs with a set screw would fit I guess but not properly

screw sets will work fine if you dont overtighten them.
