Ok so the manual says I can use quads of different types of tubes (see pic). Then it goes on to say it switches V7 and V9 out of the circuit in half power mode...
So does that mean I could put the amp in half power mode and experiment with matched pairs of tubes in V8 and V10. You know just to get an idea of how other power tubes would sound without buying a quad of something and not liking it.
