I played one of those amps in 1993, when I had my ADA MP-1 superstar rack. It sounded better than my MP-1. :D

They have plenty of gain, and good tone. 50 watts is plenty loud too.

It's been forever and a day since I played one of those, but didn't like it too much IIRC. The VTM 120 is what Soundgarden used to use, but I don't think those sounded like that when I played them. Go try it though and if you like it make a low ball offer. Those were some of last crappy amps they made - after Peavey came out with the 5150 and Ultra heads they made great strides in their amp designs tonewise IMO. I'd rather look for a used Line 6 over that rig.

FTR my VTM60 was a great deal when I bought it stock. Solid tones, a bit bright, boosted was great for $250, and mine is beat compared to that one.

I've since had Jerry at FJA do some stuff and now it absolutely rips.

I'd snap up that deal.
