I need to put together 5 cables for my new pedal board. It will consist of a Send and Return from the FX Loop, Amp Input, and Midi cable for Channel Switching.

I usually just use cable ties and Velcro strips, but I would like to use some sort of flexible sleeve/conduit around the entire 25 foot length.

What do you guys use?

Thanks in advance.

techflex her as well. Make sure you order proper shrink wrap size for each end

Another vote for Tech Flex! Easy to use, plenty of sizes available and very cost effective. The company is great to deal with and if you call them they will send you a complete sample kit of the various types and sizes. It makes selecting the right size easier when you have some samples.

Techflex and shrink tubing. It's pretty easy and very durable.

Might be a good idea to throw an extra cable in the snake in case of a failure...

I'd go with TechFlex too and I fully encourage the extra cable just in case! It'll be a big enough bummer that you have to figure out which cable is bad but having no spare handy will suck even worse.

+1
... if you don' shrink tube the ends it will fray and come loose. I never thought about an extra cable in the snake itself (that's a great way to ward off guys from borrowing your cables!), but I do carry a gang of loose spares to withstand multiple failures, which usually end up getting used on the bass player or other guitarist in my band, but it gives me peace of mind.

What size shrink tube do you guys use. The sleeve I purchased is one inch. With 4 or 5 cables through it, the shrink tube will have to be large.

1" shrink tubing should do the trick. Make sure to leave enough slack for the cables to fan out, my snakes are 20' and I probably have about 2' on each end, i.e. 16' of the snake is wrapped in techflex.

+1 And work the all of the cables through at the same time. Probably don't have to tell you, but I made the ridiculously stupid mistake of trying one at a time. It took me about two days to get them through(25ft)

Ouch!  I feel your pain brother! It is such a tedious process

Pedal Python is seriously the best! I looked into cable looms and such a while back and was only finding setups already put together, but they cost $100 or more for a 2-3 cable setup. Pedal Python is less than $50 for nearly every length and color (excluding 50 ft.). It is tough, durable, and easy to set up. It has saved me so much space and time in setup. Once thing I like is it can be redone if you ever need to add or subtract cables from it. I am in the process of getting a new board, so it is nice to know when it comes I can rerun they setup to better fit the new one. I would recommend this to anyone, it was quick shipping and easy setup.

Chris.
