Pedal GAS has consumed me!

I've always been a pedal junkie...never really did the rack thing outside the studio. Well the pedal bug has bit me again! In the last week I've bought the Sansamp GT2, BB Preamp, Suhr Riot, Turbo Tuner, Voodoo Lab Amp Switcher and I'm still on the hunt for a few more. Next week I'm ordering a Trailer Trash 30x18 ATA Board and I'm super pumped!

So pedalholics...chime in...what's turning your crank lately!!

Oh, and steer me in the direction of a killer chorus pedal please!

Been there man. Last year I grabbed an OCD, Lovepedal Eternity(my fav BTW), BB+, Carbon Copy, Wylde, TS-9(that I'll eventually get modded by Keeley,) and Boss Compressor/Sust to add to my DL4, Tremonti Wah, and MXR 10-Band.

Now I just need to decide if I'm keeping them racked or if I want em on the floor. Also gassing for a high gain distortion box and a Cantrell Wah. It never ends!

have you tried modding or making your own pedals at all? that in itself can be a HUGE money trap but it's just soooo much fun

hehe you've got that right! I have about 50 pedals, god knows why I need/want more but I just can't help it!

Have you tried the Cantrell wah yet? I really want to check that one out!

OD's and Distortion boxes are so much fun! I'm not gonna open myself a can of worms by getting into modding or making my own though. My wallet can't take any more habits lol.

I do like all kinds of unusual overdrive and distortion boxes. Latest acquisition is the spaceman rumblefuzz.

I picked up a Suhr Riot pedal 2 weeks ago. It is an awesome pedal. All the hype is true. I see you bought one too....so you know!

Any Wampler owners? I am wanting a serious train wreck sounding stomp to put on the clean channel of my Zinky. It has a awesome blues and classic rock. I have heard clips of the Wamp Triple Wreck that sound like a Rectifier... I mean nailing the tone.

Any Wampler experiences?

Recently got an OCD V4 and MXR GT-OD to add to my Dano Drive V1, Dano TOD V1, and SD-1.

I've been getting rid of all my other pedals that I don't use, since I've been simplifying my gear.
(a Fuzz, Delay, Chorus....looking to unload a MT-2 as well)

Sick of them taking up space.

I want more OD/boosts!

How does the GT-OD sound compared to an 808 type pedal? Similar? I keep putting off purchasing a Maxon 808 because I think I might want the MXR instead.

Oh, and has anyone compared the Suhr Riot and Tonefreak Severe? I need a balls out high gain pedal.

How does the GT-OD sound compared to an 808 type pedal? Similar? I keep putting off purchasing a Maxon 808 because I think I might want the MXR instead.

Yes it's similar, but the GT somehow sounds warmer/smoother. Not as cold as the 808 or TS.
It is very much a TS type OD though, with the upper mid hump, but it doesn't suck out the bass as much.

Just finished my board a few weeks ago after 3 years of collecting, trying and moving various pedals.

My chorus needs are met by the Boomerang Delay.
It has a dedicated chorus section that can be used independently to the delay or mixed with it.
I can also get some warbly tape-echo type chorus from my Duncan Deja Vu Delay.

If I had room for another chorus pedal, I'd look to grab a Wampler Nirvana Chorus or wait for the Suhr Chorus that's supposed to be released soon..
