I really like the blackout effectors "twosome" it's one of the best fuzz pedals I've ever played!

I have one of those along with the "whetstone" amazing phaser!

I have a blackout effectors Musket (big muff type) and a Hartman SI fuzz face (SI fuzz face). Both are very nice. I love the hartman for Dark side of the moon Pink Floyd sounds....

I'm after a nice full bodied "cushion-like" fuzz....not a bright overly distorted grainy fuzz.

Thegearmandude and proguitarshop are pretty good to get an overview on the fuzzpedalmarket. I think, when it comes to fuzzsounds it depends very much on a personal taste and on your own guitar.

For me the Tech21 XXL works pretty good, but it's more a sick overdrive than a fuzz. It gives a fat, huge fuzz sound and it cleans up perfect with my G&L - and you can get it really cheap!

On the other hand, I like the analogman fuzzes very much but never owned one...

The Devi ever Zelda Pedal is most beautiful one i've ever seen...

Deviever makes some killer fuzz pedals in all flavors. I've got my eye on the Shoegazer, but the white spider is bitchin too.

Keeley Fuzz Head is not very grainy. Not as fuzzy as some but has nice texture and a pleasing fuzz sound to me.

Not being a fuzz expert by any means, check out the clips for some Germanium Fuzz Face type pedals. My personal favorite fuzz is the Big Muff style (later green russian versions).

Once you narrow it down a bit to a specific type, it will be easier to provide recommendations. If you do a search, I posted a fuzz thread a while back.

yep, i like the Keeley Fuzzhead, but as mentioned it isn't as fuzzy and dirty as some.


the Fuzzhead is germanium and silicon, but think the silicon is stacked on top of the germ and can't be played by itself?

the Fuzzhead is also major user friendly in that it lets you change cap values to taylor the mids.


have heard the Foxrox Hot Silicon is a good one?
