I've heard great things about that danelectro 7 band.. I should try one out at some point. The GE-7 is missing something for me. BB sounded too round and artificial for me, GT-OD is to thick for my rythm likings, ZW-44 is pretty good, bad monkey is currently my favourite but I still have my ears open and would like to try a koko boost.

Lots of choices mine wouldn't necessarily apply to your scenario/tastes, I would just say don't restrict yourself and try anything.

This may seem unorthodox but I gotta tell ya. I have spent that last 5 hours with my newly acquired Suhr Riot and KoKo boost. Well I have had the KB for a while now. I stacked those two on top of my gain channel on my SLP and Holyshit......The distortion on the Riot is barely on. The KoKo shapes it all up. Worth a try.

No, the problem isn't with the tone/settings I have.

I like the way the OD808 smooths it out for leads and adds a touch of gain, helps push the amp in to a really nice natural feedback. Sustaines for days!

Without the boost its great for rhythms and stuff, nice and aggressive.

Just want that something extra for leads.

been through a ton of ods, some are very nice, i usually prefer EQ pedals for any kind of clean/boosting

Ive found the OD808 to be best. Other's make work well too.
You have to watch out for buying into the "hype" tho. Lot's of boutique stuff that is heralded to be "better" when it's just another tubescreamer type variant for too much dough.

I was thinking either sticking with the Maxon, getting a SD-1 or perhaps the MXR CAE boost or MXR micro amp thing..
