Im hittin the road w/ a Bogner Shiva,Badcat Blackcat r, splawn quickrod, and Soldano SLO..each going to thier own miked cab...thats the easy part....the job-(these amps channels need to be switched all at once)....the hard part is I need a pedal that will switch all these amps' channels w/ the press of one button...Is there a box or pedal that can sit on my pedalboard that will do this? thanks for any input.. :)

May be easier hiring 4 midgets to switch for you

That's a tall order and at first glance, I would say no - with anything on the production market. But, I will say that Ron at RJM will consider what you got, and what you need to do and come closer to figuring out the easiest way to do it with a Gizmo, or 2. You can put two amps on one Gizmo and hit a program change on the midi controller, but it would have to change both amps the same direction. Maybe you can configure 2 Gizmo's on the same midi channel and have one button do it. You are going to have a hell of a time though with ISO and phasing issues.

good ideas-yes....im getting most my amp switching done right now w/ a few lehle's...no noise at all..no ground issues what so ever- darn near perfect head switching..i can combine em all at once or any comb. of em..I was hoping to not have to go midi for this- I have a hughmungus midi board for that rack setup in my avatar-that board stays w/ that rig....I guess I may have to contact someone like Ron, Bob,or whoever....I thought- "a box on my pedalboard that has a bunch of 1/4" switch outs to all the amps switching"...then just a tap on the box should do it..all amp chnls get changed at once....or even the switch box at the amp backline, then just a cable from the box to pedalboard w/ a measley tap button on it.

That is quite the rig for the road. Custom Audio Electronics has an amp selector too but for only 4 amps. They will build what you want also.

I don't like to bash gear makers on here, but Bob Bradshaw is a shit head. But, he has the best switching gear in the business. I have 4x4 and 2 of his floor controllers. The 4x4 had great ISO and yes, he can custom build what you want, if you give him a decade or so. Unless, you are a public figure. He had had my deposit now for two years on a rack interface. Several emails and promises later, I still have nothing and just gave up on it. He can keep the fucking money. Him, the fucking lying turd that owns Ear Candy are two to stay away from. He has been paid in full over 3 years ago for two cabs, which I don't even want now. But, several lies out of him too. And, I turned him into the Sheriff's Dept.

Still, I suggest contacting Ron. He and Sherry are good peeps, will do what they say and in good time.

Ive had quite a few conversations w/ Bob, and I can definitely see how you can come to those conclusions of him...Hes' made me an interface back in the early 90s...I sold all that, even my rs10 and after many talks w/ Mario-bought a nice axcess rig w/ fx1 board...I have been 100% completely satisfied, but as you all know- he went out of business...I do have a mastermind gt comin to me( when theyre released),but I may have to spend some more $ @ rjm for this amp situation...I thought Dave F. would have an switcher option to suggest also..?

You have to go midi to switch all of that. that way its easy. Ron has solutions for this.

Cool..okay..well....hopefully i can find a very small midi controller for my 3rd pedalboard...that leads me to choosing a tiny version of a; Rs 10,acxess fx1,Liquid foot pro,... or other...choices, choices.. :)

The answer might be obvious, but I'll ask anyway. Let's assume that all the amps switch channels in the same way(a simple on/off footswitch-kinda deal), wouldn't it be possible to just split the signal from that switch?

Well, yes, thats what I had in the back of my mind too....hoping that i could just get someone to make me a one or two button box that has a bunch of 1/4'' outs that will connect to all the amps' ins-They are all standard 1/4" short to ground type switching.....like you said-some of the amps ins may be reversed switching,etc...and to make things a tad more deeper, the badcat, bogner and splawns' footswitches all have leds built into them, so theres a tip or ring sending(led) power down the footswitch too..Ive seen the rjm amp gizmo and rg16 a bazillion times....and that stuff is great gear, for sure...but that now means I have to get a midi board(again) and have all the switching fall under a preset again......thats fine- its really no biggie,, its just that on board # 3 that I own-this board for these amps so far only has a few pedals,a truebypass looper, some lehle switchers and thats about it...but i guess ill have to throw a midiboard on there too now.....I was kinda diggin not having my sounds under a # for this rig-my other 2-36X20 boards have the full blown midi thing going one, so i was hoping for a (non-midi) pedalboard this time out...I read a few posts back or so that I can get a tiny midiboard for this purpose.....

That would just mean that you have to wire the outputs on the I/O switcher-box differently for each amp? I don't see why this wouldn't be doable.

yes, that sounds right in theory to me....ya know..its funny, all these high end amp companys out there(they spare NO expense on everything thats inside thier amp), and not a "standard" set for switching functions,,,all have to be so different.Thats fine, but it sure makes things complicated for the weekend warrior :)

Wouldn't an Axess Cfx4 do this? MIDI, but very small. So what's the gig?
