Hey guys,

I'm building a board on the Novo 24. I have 2 ISO 5 supplies and one Voodoo Lab Digital. I had the ISO 5s already but since I added the Musicomlab 62M, and already had the Timeline and Mobius, I added the Digital to power those 3. I have them neatly mounted on the board but my question is: Does anyone have any cool ideas as to how I can connect these 3 power supplies to one AC port of some kind? Note, there are no courtesy plugs on either supply.

My current idea is to just use a small 3 outlet strip and wire that to a male IEC or something like that. Maybe even make a custom enclosure. I figured I'd ask here because I assume there are others who've come across this before.

Thanks.
Dave

A picture of what your layout looks like would help foster some ideas, but you could always use a triple power tap like they sell at Lowe's and Menard's...

Will post one later. The cable splitter you have posted is in my amazon list as an option. Would be a good choice with an enclosure that ends in an IEC outlet.

Thanks.

If it was me, I'd panel mount a twist-lock receptacle and then hard-wire the connections using shrink-sleeves for insulation...

Agreed. My concern is combining 3 power cables to the one receptacle. I'm trying to find something with a good sized lug.

Shouldn't be a problem. The wires wouldn't need to be too large given the low current draw. Even if you use the three standard power cords, cut the plugs off, combine the wires and then solder them to the lug, you should be OK.

It's not cheap (~$30) but Hubbell sells a NEMA L5-15P (120v, grounded, panel-mount, twist-lock) receptacle that would work nicely...

Thanks man. I really appreciate it. Considering what I have put into this board already, a $30 outlet isn't bad at all. :)

No problem - you're welcome...

This is the board from the top. The power cables are all right angles (coming out of the power supplies) so the cables go to the right and then down under the board and then turn left as you look at the pic. It's going to be tight but I think I can do something clean. The NEMA twist lock is too big for the space I have under this board so I think I'm stuck with an IEC or PowerCon.

Ended up doing this. I'm building a junction box for guitar in, amp out, loop in, loop out since I have all the parts. Then I'll get to replacing that cord with a hardwired powercon connector.

Looks clean

Thanks. I have a Hammond 1590B for the 4-way junction and am thinking about a Hammond 1590H for the power con. I assume an aluminum enclosure is ok for power assuming everything is properly insulated, grounded, etc.
