Hey, I just finished my first pedalboard build, using a 2015 Pedaltrain Junior, with the new vented back - requiring a new solution.
I ordered a piece of 3mm translucent acrylic to size and drilled it into place.
I drilled the holes for the Neutrik jacks, then found my flatmate has a CNC machine at his studio, so he cut the oblong for the IEC power jack.
I fitted an LED strip across the top of the lower rear rail, visible when powered. It says it's '12V + 650 MA' but seems happily powered by my Boss TU3, thus far.
All cables are Van Damme with Switchcraft jacks.
I found the Switchcraft 380 jacks are shorter than the more widely used 280, which was required to run both layers under the T2's pedal raiser.
Cables are grey for preamp, black for FX loop, then a red TBP loop for lead FX and blue TBP loop for reverb/delay.
Planning to upgrade my harmoniser to a pitchfork, my DD5 to a DD7 (tap tempo will be placed under the phaser) and possibly a Mooer LoFi in the top right, in the red loop.
Potential for replacing the TU3 with a Polyclip tuner on the guitar and a Bonafide Buffer underneath, if I decide there is one more 'normal' sized pedal I must have.
May get another piece of acrylic and redo the holes perfectly (jacks are slightly off) with the CNC and potentially add a jack to run the lights off a separate 12V power supply.
However, the best thing is to play as much as possible and gain an idea what modifications may be beneficial for a V2.
