Pedalboard tonesuck - Looper needed?

Your advice please

My boards tone/gain suck was quite noticeable with my 20th Shiva, but is very noticeable with my BE100. Seems to be roughly 15% in gain and 10% top.
Guess I need a looper?

I've been thinking about this for a while, daisy chaining all these pedals is bound to eat tone - wish I could afford to send my board to Dave for the full shabang.

Any recommendations on the looper and config? Musicom, Loopmaster etc? I have 8 pedals and a tuner on the board - this may increase by one or so. - For info the deepdive is soon to be replaced by an Octron 2 - I use Octave a lot.

Maybe the layout of the board is wrong?? but I am the singer in my bands also and use the Wah with left foot so she needs to stay where she is.

Any advice gratefully received.

You need a buffer more than a looper.

I hear you, but if I get a buffered looper I have effect combinations and the buffering in one solution.

The Carl Martin Octaswitch looks great but its only 8 connections.

From what I can see all your pedals are true bypass. This is bad. If they all are off you are for sure losing stuff. I just recommend a Rjm tone saver buffer. Should fix it right up.

Dave, How does the rjm compare to a buffer say like the cornish one with the BC549 transistor?

Well I have one similar to the Cornish one that I am going to put out as a product but it's not ready yet. This would be the absolute most natural one. The Rjm is my buffer design and is very good . It uses a opamp like most buffers.
