Disgusting. I can't understand why people are so fucking lazy that they can't remove velcro from pedals when they sell them. I don't want your dog hair, cat hair, wife's hair, or pubes stuck to nasty-ass velcro, thank you.. Sure, I understand people mount to boards, but let the buyer put their own on for God's sake.

Rant over..

? amen brother! That’s the worst when you buy a pedal and it arrives covered in someone else’s scuzz

i always thought it was rude to leave it on when selling. Then again I try to clean anything I sell as best as it can be cleaned

Whats really bad, is when it tears the paint off removing it!

I'm like you, I clean everything I sell.

clean everything like a decent human being or sell it dirt cheap.. nobody wants nasty shit they didnt make nasty..

That’s messed up! Yes... clean everything and be transparent in your listings. I don’t want anyone else’s messes, as sure as they don’t want mine!

This is a funny ass rant. Thanks for the laugh Napalm. Prayers your way too.

I have a ritual of cleaning when buy something used.
I hate the Velcro, instead use small discs of Dual Lock.

There are some filthy animals out there...my assumption when getting anything used is that it spent a good chunk of time deep inside the owners anus and I clean it accordingly.

Back in the good ol' days the only things to worry about were used didos, vibrators, and vibrating dildos. Nowadays it's best to assume any used item has seen its share of ass play.

I literally saw a “lightly used” fleshlight on Craigslist a few years back. The seller wouldn’t respond to my “low ball” offers or request to test it before buying.

Why would you want to remove pubes from a piece of gear? A pedal with pubes on it has seen some things, and experience makes the best music. Keep the mojo!

I know this is going against the grain here, but for me I take pictures of the top and the bottom of the pedal. If you see velcro on the bottom and want it removed before I ship, just ask. Otherwise I am going to leave it on there as there are some buyers would do want to see velcro.

I do clean the pedals before I send, so there should not be significant dust or hair.

Collect the human and dog hair from the pedals, extract the DNA. Clone their entire family/pets and program them to kill. Then, send them to their house one day.

I am on the same page. When I post a pedal for sale I will state that it has velcro on the bottom. It will be removed prior to shipping if requested. Otherwise, it is handy to have it already on there for me most of the time.

I will agree that it should be standard operating procedure to clean anything out of the velcro before boxing it up. But I won't remove it before shipping if not asked when the velcro can clearly be seen in the pics.

I use 3M Dual lock to fasten my pedals. It is really hard to get off. It can be taken off with some effort, but I see why people would leave it on. Dual lock doesn't seem to pick up all the hair and fuzz like cheap velcro does.
