Thanks again! - Mike (RR)

I'll say this much, and I haven't used my eargoggles on this one yet....zentman":1z60a4ma said:Ventura":1z60a4ma said:1st is Axe. 2nd is BE.
I think so too but I think just a little of the depth knob on number one would really close that tiny thump gap I hear. Of course if the Axe is number two then the amp needs more warm thump.
I don't know about the one in the vid. I'd go either way there.

So how were they able to get this far tone wise keeping it in the box? Did they switch gears on the modelling and go to profiling as well??
Dude, are you kidding me?!?! I seriously need and want and lust after that "in the room" feel. Hence the reason I've been so off-put with my Axe as it's been... I've been doing a lot of DI recording and shit with it, but I miss the feel of a mic'd up cab and me in the room riffin' on my fiddle. The separation of tone/timbre from my hands and ears is what's held me back till now. That's why I am VERY excited and eager to get these 2 active wedges coming in next week. If I can't get that "in the room feel" with these? And I am seriously going to try man, I am committed - that's it - it'll be relegated to a back up recording unit and I'll just call it a day. I've been in solitary confinement with Joe's TJ that he sold me. Got it last week and hasn't left my side since. One of the things I love?? The swirl man...the grit...the punch and vibe, and that "turn your head and hear the reflections and sonic refractions" of air getting moved (now, now gents, the strong meds are well finished by now!).Shark Diver":2zq2ez4b said:Even though Mo doesn't want the "in the room" I need that. But I know my Two-Notes IRs get me as close as a change of cab would be - so I am going to jump back into an Axe II. I have been selling redundant or unused equipment. But I'll still always have a few treasured amps and cabs - even if they become permanent Man Cave residents.
PS - Mo how's the foot? Just tore my calf playing racquetball so much empathy.

And hey, since you asked and since I've touched on it - thanks for asking about the ankle. Today was the first day I put normal weight on it and it didn't hurt. 6 weeks man, and I did 4 or 5 shuffled steps on the hardwood floor without crutches. I see the surgeon this weekend to see the latest xrays and from here on in - providing everything's where it oughta be - it's physio and rehab time. And all the fun hardcore opiate meds were finished a week or so ago, so I'm no longer Keef'in it.
Peace![]()
