Unbelievable. These presets can be the deciding factor between kemper/axe for me.

I can understand your hesitancy but I know I'll appreciate it when I buy another axe. Thanks Pete.

Pete's a great dude. I'm going to download just in case he does change his mind so if I ever have an Axe again I have a great starting place. Thanks Pete!

I'm premature as usual :aww: :D

Not there yet.

Ya I still have to export em and send to Fractal! They should be up soon.

I think the real amp was the first one. Either way who cares because both sound excellent.

Bob is correct on both accounts!

Pete, as usual you are a class act and explained how the AxeFX-II augments your rig without completely replacing it. You made some great points about how guitarists can capture the type of tones that would normally involve moving heavy amps, etc.

I think it is great you are sharing your tones with everyone. Definitely shows your humble nature and willingness to help other tone chasers! :) Now we just need Cliff to include a "Pete Thorn Hands Emulator" so we can REALLY capture your sound. :)

Thanks again! - Mike (RR)

I think the Axe-FX is fantastic but when a technique modeler is released I'll be in full fanboi flag waiver mode.

1st is Axe. 2nd is BE.

Regardless, sounds fkn choice IMHO. I'm seriously liking everything I've been hearing lately, and this is what's had me decide to blow 2 large on the active Wedges. If it can get me to 95% of the real deal, I'll more than likely be unloading 95% of the real deal. It just makes sense - logistically and economically. But we'll see.

Thanks for the post Pete. Awesome lil' A/B going on there.

I think so too but I think just a little of the depth knob on number one would really close that tiny thump gap I hear. Of course if the Axe is number two then the amp needs more warm thump. :)

I don't know about the one in the vid. I'd go either way there.

1st is the real amp for me.. 2nd is the axe I would think.

So how were they able to get this far tone wise keeping it in the box? Did they switch gears on the modelling and go to profiling as well??

I'll say this much, and I haven't used my eargoggles on this one yet....

Fact is, hang on, I'm gonna plug in!!

Ya, I'm sticking with my original claim - but here's where I'm at... I don't care    What I mean by this is, dudes, if it's this fkn close?!?! I really couldn't care less - it's done - it's in - I'm fine with it!! It's a winner regardless. Sure, sure...it'll be totally different "in the room" but for recording purposes? This close? It's a no brainer.

I don't know but he is doing something .

huge diff between ver 5.0 that i sold and what I hear at 10.0.

there was always a compressed .nasal cocked wah type of tone to my ears in a lot (80%) of axe clips

It appears to be gone here , and its open and breathing .

I put in another thread Axe is first. The second isn't as bright and seems more compressed. I'm fairly sure they could be dialed in closer.

Even though Mo doesn't want the "in the room" I need that. But I know my Two-Notes IRs get me as close as a change of cab would be - so I am going to jump back into an Axe II. I have been selling redundant or unused equipment. But I'll still always have a few treasured amps and cabs - even if they become permanent Man Cave residents.

PS - Mo how's the foot? Just tore my calf playing racquetball so much empathy.

Dude, are you kidding me?!?! I seriously need and want and lust after that "in the room" feel. Hence the reason I've been so off-put with my Axe as it's been... I've been doing a lot of DI recording and shit with it, but I miss the feel of a mic'd up cab and me in the room riffin' on my fiddle. The separation of tone/timbre from my hands and ears is what's held me back till now. That's why I am VERY excited and eager to get these 2 active wedges coming in next week. If I can't get that "in the room feel" with these? And I am seriously going to try man, I am committed - that's it - it'll be relegated to a back up recording unit and I'll just call it a day. I've been in solitary confinement with Joe's TJ that he sold me. Got it last week and hasn't left my side since. One of the things I love?? The swirl man...the grit...the punch and vibe, and that "turn your head and hear the reflections and sonic refractions" of air getting moved (now, now gents, the strong meds are well finished by now!).

And hey, since you asked and since I've touched on it - thanks for asking about the ankle. Today was the first day I put normal weight on it and it didn't hurt. 6 weeks man, and I did 4 or 5 shuffled steps on the hardwood floor without crutches. I see the surgeon this weekend to see the latest xrays and from here on in - providing everything's where it oughta be - it's physio and rehab time. And all the fun hardcore opiate meds were finished a week or so ago, so I'm no longer Keef'in it.

Peace

Ah, I thought in another thread you had said you were only after the direct tones. I think maybe the 'verb thread? Anyway, good news on the foot. Already 6 weeks, wow.

If I had to guess, the 1st is the Axe, but on my iPad, it's waaay close enough for rock n roll
