Ah, I thought in another thread you had said you were only after the direct tones. I think maybe the 'verb thread? Anyway, good news on the foot. Already 6 weeks, wow.
Nope. Said that "with direct tones" (those being close mic'd) reverb was the key for me. But that's only IMHO and YMMV. I even said you and I were saying the same thing, just in different contexts.

All good.

As for the ankle, yep. Looking forward to driving. Somewhere. Anywhere.

Peace Gents!

Just found out today I ruptured my achilles. So, now I definitely need the Axe - can't haul even my smallest rig right now. I feel your pain.

How do you just find something like that out??? I guess it's not a painful realization but more of an instability thing??

I sure as shit knew I'd fuct my foot/ankle up when I glanced down after slipping and saw "it" pointing one way and the bones of my ankles sticking out from my sock actually on the pavement supporting my weight where the "foot" should have been.

Didn't need a Ph.D in medicine at that time to make an immediate Dx of "fkd!"

Dude, get that achilles sorted out man... Way too much more to do to have the ol' fuselage giving grief quite yet

I will definitely vouch that all Mo ever talks about is the "In the room" feel... I am secretly enjoying watching him try to achieve this with the Axe and ::insert speaker type here::.... since it just really isn't possible... but don't tell him that

Hey Pete,

What are the specs of the Weber Legacy? 100 Watt 30oz?

My guess:
In the video: 1st axe, 2nd SL68
In the dropbox: 1st is BE, 2nd axe

Well, it's not ALL I talk about but I am pretty fkn determined to see if it'll happen

Okay, alright, FINE!! I'll shut up about it... But I will say one thing - it's the ITRF (I'll just use an acronym for it from here on in) that has me so in love with tubes and amps. Period.

Mo...the "ITRF" guy

Nah, you don't want to be the "in the rear f..." guy

If I had to guess, the 1st is the Axe, but on my iPad, it's waaay close enough for rock n roll

So they both sound like a transistor radio?

I lazily listen to clips on my iPad at times and am amazed how similar all amps sound through it.

I'm surprised he was using a weber seeing as he used scumbakcs previously? The webers are great sounding speakers though.. I have one and two more on the way for another cab. I use the 65 watters 30oZ.. closest spec to the dare I say infamous speakers that are not Weber but start with S. I guess we'll never know if they are the same. All we can say for sure is that they are in the same tonal ballpark.

1st is real amp.
2nd is AxeFXII.

First is more open, less compressed, less squashed sounding.
Resembles what I hear on my own Axe vs real amp situations, when I am tone matching.
The 2nd tone seems more compressed, and not as open, which to me is the way the AxeFX comes off...less dynamic range, because it just is.
But regardless, to even get as close as we can get with the Axe is still amazing, and to think that this is still in its infancy, makes me hopeful for what is still yet to come.

I thought that Steve Stevens also contributed some patches for the FX2?
Atomic Playboy

O.K., here's Pete's "reveal" from the thread over @ HRI ....

OK, most of you got it wrong. Amp is 1st in both clips.

Don't feel bad.. Dave Friedman actually guessed wrong too, on the BE clip.... and it's his baby!

Damn! To be the inventor and to miss makes it pretty convincing.

I guess how it's set up and played is the ultimate factor in both the amp and axe camps.

I would have bet that number two was the real HB. It just sounded so much fatter and warmer to me.
