Pete Thorn Axe FX2 Tone Match presets

The Axe-II fooled Friedman against his own creation. Tube amps(at least on recordings) are definitely no longer necessary!!! It's just a matter of time before the live experience is no different except for nostalgia reasons!
 
First one has a more open tone and more presence. The second one has some strange compression in the mids which I usually associate with modellers. I could be wrong. And of course, a bit of studio magic can go a long way... Good tones, nevertheless, and very close, which I guess is the point.

Is it easy to get more in-the-room sounds from the AxeFX instead of something resembling close-miking?
 
^ Really be hard to guess wrong after the reveal I reckon. :) Just messin with you. You probably didn't see it posted above.

any ideas on when this is really going to take place, or did I blink and miss it?
 
I'm not sure- I sent the fractal guys the presets, and I think they will release them once V10.0 is released.
