Not to get all tan pants on everyone but I've gotten into early Genesis in the past few months and i am floored. Their music is right up there woth any other band to come out of the 70s. Started with Selling England, then Foxtrot, Nusery Cryme, The Lamb, and now Trespass. All absolute masterpieces

I haven't even been listening to anything else really. It's some of the best music I've ever listened to. Also some of the stuff is like proto - heavy metal. I feel like I unearthed a hidden dusty gem! I'm not a huge prog rock guy but to me it's better than Yes, King Crimson, maybe even Pink Floyd.

Who else is a fan?

they are on a list i made of bands i need to check out, and probably should have checked out long ago, just never did for whatever reason
If you only listen to one song, it must be the most epic one ever...

It was just a band full of top notch musicians that made each song a completely distinct journey.

Steve Hackett the guitarist can be seen tapping before EVH

land of confusion was actually one of the first records i remember making my father by me when i was maybe 3, i remember being scared of that video but i liked the song lol

One of my favorites since the 70s. Never tire of them, the complexity of the compositions bring out different nuances all the time. Peter Gabriel era for sure but like up to Wind & Wuthering.

Genius level drum parts in a pop tune that aired constantly for months on MTV. Brilliant.

Such a great, great song. Listening to the Seconds Out album is where I first heard that song years ago and to this day it is one of my all-time favorites.
