Wow, I just saw this too. Looks interesting. I have a feeling the 2C+ mode will be as close as the Mark V's 2C+ mode (not very close ;))

I'm not sure how it sound..doubtful that it will nail the 2c+ tone accurately but I bet it will sound pretty good.

I'm just happy that Mesa is going the midi route finally. Imagine actually being able to use all of the tones in a Mark or Roadster without dialing in every time you want a new sound.

I am not up on the 2C+ components and values, for the originals.
Is Mesa just stubborn, or can they not source the parts to do a "true to form" reissue, of their extremely sought after model?

Maybe this will be a true reissue, but why not sooner? That model has been a grail amp, for long while now.

It looks promising. Dual lead channels and EQ, pull knobs for gain and presence, shred modes, etc. I wonder if this lends any more validity to the long rumored Hetfield signature amp with Mesa?

So a clean and 2 lead channels, all 2C+ preamp signal? Sounds like a true reissue. Very cool...Marshall did well with the Jubilee as far as getting very close tonally, it would be awesome if Mesa got as close! They'd sell a ton if it compares well....at least it's JP telling Mesa what he likes, and not Doug West deciding how the circuit should be unlike the Mark V...

Yep, I'm very interested.
Even if its not the exact IIC+ tone, I'd be willing to bet it sounds pretty dam good if Randall got it just the way Petrucci wants it.
The guy does get some killer tones.
The mid control is interesting, 1-5 is mid setting, 5-10 is a gain boost, so if you are boosting gain, are you doing it with the mids dimed?
Maybe I'm not getting how that works.... Or maybe thats exactly how it works??

I'd like to play that! But street price will be what? $2499 head? Just thinking Mesa pricing plus endorsement..

The cab clone feature is a waste of space...but everything else looks cool.

Can't wait to try it out.

I knew Danyeo would be all over this...I am showing my age to you young bucks, but his clips of his Mesa with the crispy cream treble booster made me buy one. Actually i've owned two> I think you were playing Bad Boys by Whitesnake? Sounded killer. haha

Look at the size of transformer in the photo..... Huge. :)

100% made in America, original multi channel midi switchable amp design $2,400...

Or buy a boutique single channel Marshall clone for $3,600.

Well, that's really not a bad price when you consider the options it has compared to many other boutique amps. And if it nails the 2C+ tone or comes very close? Then 2499 is a bargain!

Lol! I'm with ya man...Dan's clips got me interested as well as others comments/conversations as well..Dan, Psychodave, Steve K and others made me really think about trying to find a 2C+..finally I did. And the rumors are true! Top 5 amp for me, and sticking around.

At least someone said it. :)

This looks cool. I like how they forgo the multi power options etc. and just get down to it's Class A/B 6L6s and that's it. I guess JP doesn't think much of the contour control and went with two graphics. Very curious to hear this in comparison to my V. I feel this will possibly nail the 2C sound a lot better as it's not compromising to give different gain circuits in one amp. That being said I still dig my V so I'm not really a 2C purist.
Agree on the Cab Clone being a waste of space and only bumps up the price of the amp. Why do amp makers do this with peripherals? There's always too many people who don't want or need it but will have to pay for it to get the amp.
