I'm mostly a high gain guy but I gotta say the most impressive part of that vid was when he used the single coils on the Luxxtone and busted into Little Wing. Thats the kinda tone that seperates the good shit from well... shit. Fun video!

I dig how he demo's the amp as most of us would play it. Uses different guitars, uses volume roll off, actually adjusted the gain on the amp and plays a few different styles. That amp is nice but not quite my thing these days, but great demo.

I have the pleasure of knowing Phil and I can tell you it's no 'act.' The guy is 24/7 energy and good vibes. It's probably why he looks so young for a guy in his later 40's. (47, I think?)
Also an incredibly generous guy. He's helped my band out in big ways.

I feel like just watching YouTube vids of this guy over the past couple of years has made me a better player.

Back to that amp, Phil phan-boi-ism aside, I said "Holy Sh*t!!!" at the first E chord!

you guys should get him to do the demos for all your amps....it'd help sell A LOT more.

This brings up a question for me... What happened to JMR? Dude had some serious chops on those older TM videos, great player IMO. I honestly prefer his style to that of Phil X. All that "energy" starts grating on my nerves in less than a minute.
