Awesome video guys! Did Phil use the Sat or C45 switches in this video?

No. There is another video coming soon that Reza shot of me doing the different modes and switches.

Mark

So what are these switches, are they diode clipping or what, just wondering?

The Sat switch is diode clipping, the C45 adds a tad more gain but with a more classic Plexi type tone.

God DAMN that amp sounds good!! Killer playing to! Now if it just in my price range!

So what's the difference between the Marsha's I see on the TM web-site with the BE, HBE, etc and the BE-100?

Look again. The BE -100 is whats on our website. THere is a old video of a Marsha which was just the predecessor to the BE-100.

Phil X playing with Dave's Brown Eye.

"whacha been up too Mark?"

"we filmed this dude Phil exploring the nuances of Dave's brown eye. he was super animated and excited, said it felt awesome, and when we posted the vid on the web tons of guys were going nuts! now everybody wants dave's brown eye. he has a waiting list a mile long! "

the funny part was he changed the marsha to the friedman, but stuck with the hairy brown eye ...

..the luxxtone still sounded rad.... :D

Kickass! Great job Mark and Reza    Phil is always a fun player to watch

killer modded marshall tones. but what's up with that dude? must be off his meds. ;-)

Phil doesn't take meds - he's naturally happy!

sick sick amp, and Phil is by far one of my fav. players. really a great combo Phil X + Friedman :)

you guys should get him to do the demos for all your amps....it'd help sell A LOT more.

This brings up a question for me... What happened to JMR? Dude had some serious chops on those older TM videos, great player IMO. I honestly prefer his style to that of Phil X. All that "energy" starts grating on my nerves in less than a minute.

 fuckin A, now that's THE TONE! all organic,no zener fizz!

Not to be argumentative or a jerk, but it looks like the name was changed and this text is still there:

"Created by legendary amp guru David Friedman the Marsha is an EL34 based Plexi platform amp using custom transformers and David Friedman’s renowned Brown Eye and Hairy Brown Eye voicing."

So you guys aren't offering the Marsha any more? I'm just trying to understand all the models as I'm saving up to purchase an amp for y'all.

Thanks!

great player, great vid, super cool amp. Man, that rig cleans up nice, holy smokes!

Thanks for pointing that out. Missed that. This is the Marsha just renamed . I will change that text. See Marshall sent a cease and disist letter so we had to change it.

Just got back from 5 weeks roaming around Europe. Unpacked one head yesterday and one guitar....the BE-100 and a Luxxtone Chop T. Had a four hour romp and am totally impressed with the versatility of the BE100, and Jerry's guitars. With the exception of my custom SLO, the BE100 makes everything else redundant for me. And, Jerry's luthier skills put T and S type guitars back in my hands...except they are 1000x better. Phil is one hell of a player and this is one hell of a video and testament for Dave/Jerry......and of course, Rob.

JMR moved to Florida about a year and a half ago. Super cool guy, i miss him. That's one of the things that gives me pause when I read about guys asking if they should move to LA to try and make it. JMR moved here to do that and that guy is about the sickest player I've ever seen. He has a cool, youthful sort of image about him and he couldn't land a decent gig in several years of trying.

Damn!! That amp is the Swiss Army Knife of classic rock amps!!

So...... What "redundant" gear is going up for sale? :D
