These states act like the Feds don't actually run the country at the end of the day. It's the Feds who overall protect the homeland.

Ya, we're "at war" and the Feds are doing a bang-up job of protecting us :scared:

Our self-declared wartime president, who has enacted wartime powers, has repeatedly reinforced the position that it is the states' prerogative, if not obligation, to lead the public protection initiative.

Now you are implying it's not?

There you go again, torturing your own rhetoric

Seriously you're trying to turn this around AGAIN as ALL DemoCRIMINALS do.

If it isn't the Dem state leaders why do they KEEP requesting Federal aid $$$ way too OFTEN?

You know & we ALL know Libs are 'CUNNING' incompetent lying failed social workers at every level of their government.

I apologise the truth is as uncomfortable as tittie clamps but not as enjoyable. ;) ;) ;)

Hang em, hang em high!

It has nothing to do with Trump or any specific leader--it's a federalism issue and the Constitution is clear on it. It runs deep in the history of this country. Texans didn't like it when the Feds went into Waco, Idahoans didn't like it when the Feds went into Ruby Ridge, and any-other-city USA is entitled to the feel the same. And more importantly, it's an overreach of federal authority.

I can't believe I actually have to explain this to a conservative.

I certainly understand you but just because they don't like it that doesn't change their function.

Feds protect the homeland & that is THE point that can't be refuted. It's why they exist, hold the national purse strings, the military etc .... If a State is in a position of collapse (which today's Dem states are) it's the Fed that steps in & NOT another state.

DemIMBECILE 'self serving' logic on the Constitution is just flat out embarrassing & dangerous.

Dem denial is not reality, fact!

I know I can't ever change your mind :loco: however, I don't want anybody steered of a cliff by what you're spruiking.

We may have to invoke the Geneva Conventions, I'm not sure how much more torture your rhetoric can withstand.

Okay, okay & okay.

Help educate me & tell me why the Feds exist.
Don't be selective & omitting with your answer, I want to know from A to Z why they exist to you?

My sincere thanks in advance to you.

Everything you need to know about the scope of federal Executive Branch powers, and those powers reserved to the states, can be found in the Constitution.

Umm, I'll take a pass on that question. I've already defended one dissertation in my life, I have no desire to do a second here.

(Article I, Section 8, Clause 15) Federal Government may call out the militia in case of civil war; its authority to suppress rebellion is found in the power to suppress insurrection and to carry on war
