I always used Perry at Milano's- he was outstanding! I miss him
I used Rich Beck before- he was talented but a few things raised my concern so I won't be going there

I need a new guy! Basic setups is all I need for now
East valley preferred, but I'll drive if needed

There was a place near Camelback and 7th Ave. area that I took a LPC I owned. Thefuy used to be Flotsam and Jetsam's old tech, but he screwed up my LPC really badly, so don't go there.

Billy at B&D is the best there is. He's near Deer Valley Rd. and I-17, though, and he's pretty busy. He shares space with Lowell Hunt from Hunt Amplification. Both are the best at what they do. Was just there yesterday.

But......it's way out on the west side.

I use these guys all the time. I'm on the west side though.

I hear he's great, but backlogged all the time.
I don't like to wait.

He'll drop everything and move you to the front of the line if you have an emergency right before a gig. But you can't play that card too often. He has a ticketing system where he tells you to leave a vm on a Sunday with your ticket number. The next day he writes them all down in order and that's his workload for the whole week. He's usually four weeks out, probably a little faster for a new customer, so as to impress you. He knows I have a lot of guitars, so I can't really claim anything is an emergency. I always have a spare for every spare. He is the best there is.

I do setups. I'm in North Phoenix. I will do the first one free.

Don't use Rich Beck.. Odd dude and overcharges for simple setups. I speak from experience. Learn to do your own, thats the best way....

I like Bronson Guitar in Scottsdale. They have always done a great job, and did a great refret on my PRS CE 24.

Timely, and take the time to really listen and do things right.

Harry & Tim at Atomic guitar are great and have always done a superb job on my guitars

Rich Beck...

I took a PRS there for a set up and got it back with the D and G strings reversed. Even tuned to correct pitch. No kidding.

Never again.

Wow, lots of great feedback, thanks!

That's 3 solid reviews here! I'll have to see if I can make it out that way to check it out

Isn't Brent from Gutierrez in PHX?
Does he do setups? That would be awesome...I miss my green Juggernaut

I took an amp up there to Hunt's and was impressed with his work and friendly demeanor. I did meet Billy on the way in and he was pitching his service to me. It's almost an hour away from me one way, but maybe worth it with these good reviews

I have to get on my maps and see...some parts of south Scottsdale or 15 minutes from me, north Scotts is a drive

He gave me a few good setups...but he took my Epiphone guitar and was kind of rough slamming it down on a table to check it out. I thought at that moment that I was not bringing in my nicer guitar. When I go pick up, the guy had so many guitars disorganized he almost gave me someone else's Les Paul.....and when I had a toggle switch go out on me 2 days after he installed, the guy blew up on me on the phone when I asked if he could take another look at it. I brought it to perry and he said the toggle was a cheap part (not the quality one he claimed to put in).
Oh, and the nail in the coffin- the guy talks like Archie Bunker- but without the humor but keeps all the racism. F that guy.

Bronson is just south of Old Town Scottsdale. Check out his shops facebook and website. He has done numerous stars including Nils Lofgren (who is a Paradise Valley resident).

I will be taking a couple of guitars there on Saturday

And if you take an EVH amp there for repair, a certain expert we all know handles those. Don't ask me how I know.

Yup another plug for Tim at Atomic guitars. Very personable guy and does good work. Fixed a couple my guitars while I waited

100% For Gutierrez at Boogie Music but I know your on the East side!!! Hit up my dude Tony Dunn at Neolithic Circuitry. Or you can always pay the price gouge of the guitar collector in Mesa....

Lots of solid options

Tim from atomic I've heard great things but never used him personally.
