So I already have a Strymon Timeline, a DL8 Hardwire, and now a Keeley Halo.
I like the timeline but it is too much for my small brain.
I like the DL8 because it is very easy to use and I just keep it on modulation.
I heard the Keeley Halo when it first came out.
I went to buy one back then but the only one they had was broken.
So today I stopped at GC and they had one.
I just tried it and it sounds great.
It will take me a bit to figure it out though.
I mainly play with a little delay to just fatten it up and make it fuller.
I don't use it for much more then that.
Anyone else using a Halo ?
Tell me what you like and think of it ?

I had the Halo for a couple days before I returned it and thought it sounded artificial. I’m sitting on 11 delay pedals right now and my favorites are the EHX Memory Man Nano and the EQD Dispatch Master. Just returned a Strymon DIG v2 yesterday.

The Nano Memory Man is damn near perfect if you turn off tails on the internal switch. No coloration and delays stay out of way. But not as dark/washy as the Carbon Copy or DM-2w.

The Halo sounds amazing into two amps and really fills the room. Mine stays on the Andy Timmons preset most of the time. I think the Halo works best clean or slight distorted, etc. For metal stuff, I just use my Carbon Copy.

I have a Keeley Super AT Mod on the way to use with the Halo. Should be a killer setup!

I just found out about the Halo this weekend. Sounds like a great 2nd or 3rd pedal, for more of an ambient thing. I'll probably grab one this summer.

I just got a Belle Epoch Deluxe and a T-Rex Replicator D'Lux to mess around with first. Also just got a Strymon Big Sky that sounds like it can actually get some Halo vibes with its big room reverbs, oddly. Gotta figure out which ones stay and which go.

Like Eric Johnson years ago, I think we'll be having a lot of players sounding like Andy Timmons and it will get played out after a few years.

love mine. Don't use the actual Halo setting that often, i have 3 presets i use on the reg - a slapback, a 550-600 ms mixed in pretty low that stays on most of the time just for some character , and then a patch that is more feedback and mix for some big over-the-top delays.

There are soooo many good delays out right now, tons of options!

I got a Boss DD-3T a month ago. Sounds great but does anyone know how the tap tempo works? Do I plug a footswitch into it or something?

Didn't like the Halo much and one of the toggle switches broke within months. Ill stick with the timeline and boss dm-2w

That might be what was broken on the first one I tried ?
So far I like it, but have not had much time to really dig in and figure it our?

I have never tried the boss ?
Although I know Michael Schenker uses a version of the boss.
I did think about getting one because I like simple.

yes to the footswitch.

DD-3T is a great delay!

I had the Caverns for a bit. I really loved it. Ended up selling when I went to the Quad Cortex. Then sold it went back to the EQD Dispatch master. Now I'm back to the carbon copy. I'm so fickle when it comes to reverb and delays
