Air zone was my first thought. Unless u downtune. Just doesn't seem to work in that situation for me.

Someone mentioned the Dimarzio double whammy - yes yes. This WILL tame the highs. Second would be a Tone Zoid....

I found the MCP afwayu "not so good" especially for them insane prices.

Not sure if its been suggested, but a SD Alt-8 will tame a bright guitar. Has a nice "rounded" top end...and massive lows and low-mids...

I saw someone mention an Alnico 2 magnet in here somewhere I think that's a good suggestion for sure! If I remember the low end can be a bit wooly though if that's not a problem though I know they genereally are very warm though from the one's I've tried their was a PAF style one I tried a while back if I can remember the company it was from at some point I'll post it up, it was REAL good but the wooly nature of the low end ended up being something I ultimate didn't care for overall.

Also I think the Demartini is just an 80's spec JB with an alnico 2 to tame the highs if I'm not mistaken... so maybe that could be an option... swapping out a pickups magnet that you like with the a2 to see if it gets you were you want, ya know?
