Well I have both of those pickups also. I think for a traditional paf the Holmes is great. For evh kind of thing you need just a little more though. So a Blister with the alnico 2 it is huge and brown. Make sure you get the alnico 2 with the blister though thats the key. Dave

I dunno brother...I like the WCR Goodwood/Darkburst combo a bit more then the Marshallheads myself. they've got a bit more bite to them IMO...

Harry made the pick-ups for the fretted side and I absolutely love them...
The fretless side has a Duncan and a Kent Armstrong...

and another O'Donnell, this one has Wolfetones...

Oh yeah Ed, he's a Meisterwickler, definitely.
I have a P90s, a Tozz (high power ceramic bridge bucker) and a Vintage + bucker sized like a P90s made by him.

I had a set of Marshallhead re-winds in my previous LP. I liked them and all, bt something about the WCR's just floor me. Maybe I need to try a production set instead...?
