- Duncan double cream 59/Custom Hybrid pickup with cream pickup ring

- Floyd Rose 1984 with brass big block and brass fine tuners.

- Brass knob, brass square jack plate, brass strap buttons.

Oh and by the way, good luck fitting ANY other brand of pickup in that opening

Nice! All you need is a Dremel and you can put any pickup you want in there - I've had to do it!

Steve

cool. I so dig the double cream pickups - but alas, Ive never owned one.

I thought Dimarzio had trademarked the double-cream pickup...

They have and I hate them for it. What they haven't done is trademarked my ability to take a soldering iron and a couple of pickups and make one double cream and one double black out of them. That is such tedious work and I hate it, and now I understand why pickup companies usually have these small little women with little hands winding their pickups.

has anybody compare these to the evh art series that came out years ago, those art series was awesome guitars.

Love the upgrades!!!

I had one of the original art series ones from a few years back. Had the White/Black striped one. Played great!
Should of hung on to it. :aww:

These are $899 and the Art Series were what $2400-2700. The Art Series were Custom SHop guitars and these are made in Ensenada. For $899, these are extremely nice guitars.

Nice! All that plus sanding off the EVH headstock logo (just for the old school mutt look) is exactly what I'd do to one of them.

thanks.
normally i wouldnt compare a more expensive guitar but ive heard some great stuff about the import charvels and while i didnt expect them to be on par with the custom shop stuff i wouldnt have been shocked if you said they was quite similar in tone. they seem like a great guitar for the money.

Would you mind sharing your thoughts on the 59/Custom Hybrid? I have one in an Agile LP and like it quite a bit.

I am in love with this pickup for the last few months. Like most of the pickups designed for the brown sound but instead of hovering around the 9k mark for output, this one is around 10k and that little extra juice is really cool!

I agree, plus it cleans up really nice. Paired up with a high gain amp it really shines with that little extra output that you speak of but can be rolled back to a nice smooth classic tone as well.

Nice. I played one last week at GC. The neck is perfect, and the body was very resonant. If it only had a neck pickup...
