Pink Taco - treble bleed caps

Hi

I'm loving my PT - but much more so after removing my guitar's treble bleed cap on the volume knob. Now it's basically the same tone throughout the sweep. However, my guitar now sounds "muddy" when rolling of the volume knob on other amps (Fender, Boogie, etc). What I'm wondering is this something that's indicative of EL84 amps, Marshall based amps, or just this particular amp (e.g. would I feel the same w/ a Smallbox)? Thoughts from the frontline....?

Thanks

Same experience here...
The PT always went thin and tiny when rolling back my volume pot...

But I never tried to remove my treble bleeds...

That's common on low wattage EL-84's I've played. You get that quick tube saturation, but lack the headroom for a full tonal sweep. It cleans up, but thins out a bit.
