Did some recording today as promised.

I used the same cab for all 3 amps (solid plywood 4x12 loaded with 1973 creambacks) and had the EQ about the same on each amp. Based on my recordings and playing through both amps the Pink Taco sounds better than the Ironball, now I got to figure out how to make it usable for my needs (yes this is a fill of my earlier position). The difference is not much but I can hear it.

This picture shows my sophisticated mic technique

I maybe a different cat, but I really like the sounds of the Ironball. To me it has a nice compression...not over the top, but I think feel wise I would like it more. I would like to get one, but they are pretty pricey. But I swear, I dig it more than any other Engl.
