I'm wiring up my board... I have a bunch of Planet Waves cable, the one that comes with the solderless cable station kit. I'm building my patch cables using soldered Switchcraft jacks instead.

I keep hearing that Mogami cable is so much better, so clear, so nice, etc. Should I stick with the Planet Waves stuff, or is Mogami that much better?

Note: I'm not using any Planet Waves or Mogami plugs. The plugs are all Switchcraft. What I'm interested in deciding is on the cable quality alone.

Thanks, Danny

mogami 2319 is nice and small.. 2524 for thicker stuff or longer runs.

Sorry man. I do know my Mogami Platinum cable is better than my Planet Waves Circuitbreaker stuff but, with the regular real world priced Mogami cable  I think you're fine with the Planet Waves cable and quite a few touring pro's use it. So in other words, you can go either way because quite a few touring pro's use Mogami as well. I'd say they're pretty equal tonally.

Thanks for the advice. I'm just trying to really upgrade everything on the board. So I don't want to skimp on anything. The cable runs are short, so even if it's Mogami platinum (which is probably expensive) I only need like 6 feet. -D

Any advice on where to buy Mogami Platinum by the foot in shorts amounts with no plugs? I've found a few places online, but they sell it by the roll. Hundreds of dollars.

I'd take Mogami over Planet Waves. I find it to have more clarity and less floor noise.
