I should point out that we planned to buy a batch from HBE, not really keep it going like we're a dealer or something. I was going to put the money up myself to buy the batch, but things are tight and that was risky. That's why we wanted people to pre-order the pedals. Now we have enough money to pay Joel for the batch, reimburse some other expenses associated with this "project", and pay the board hosting fees for another year.

Of course, now I have the pain in the ass job of testing, packing, and sending out 30 pedals. lol... I'm sure it will be fun at first, but probably get real old after 10 or so. he he...

As Chris said, we're taking this one step at a time. We're actually both confident that the pedal is going to impress you guys, but we're not a dealer and we don't have a business account with cash stored away so ordering batches and having them sit there until people buy them is simply not an option. Taking orders and waiting until we have XX number of orders isn't an option either because 1) people don't generally like to wait when they've sent money and 2) Joel's a busy guy and we can't nickel and dime him to death with 1 or 2 pedal orders.

Again though, if the pedal is a "big hit" we may re-evaluate in the future but for now, we have met our goal.

Then when the batch is in production, you could put out a call for the cash. Just a suggestion...cuz I've been looking for an overdrive pedal for a long time and this sounds like a chance to create a unique tone that only very few could reproduce!

Anyway, bummer I was like a day late. I was in the studio pulling a shotgun session trying to put together a new song for our press kit. We did it in 14 hours over two days...after working full eight hour days at a day job. Talk about rough. Turned out really well for the amount of time we had. If there's any interest, I can post the finished product...

Good call...I don't think you're being negative. Just realistic. I totally understand. But, a great fund raiser. I strongly suggest you do it again in the future!

One thing is for certain, between Chris and I, we have a lot of ideas. I can almost assure you that we'll do something cool like this again in the future, and I'm not talking about shirts, although that will probably happen eventually too.
