Wow Greazygeo, sounds great!
Thanks! You know when we first got it in I played it and was kindy iffy on it. After taking it home for the weekend and running it thru my cab and tweaking on it, I really started to like it. I still think the master on it isn't that great. It really needs to be almost all the way up to get rid of the thinness. Even with a boost though, I would'nt use it for metal tones. It's more of a hard rock amp IMO.

Helps to be able to play like Greazy....ha ha!! They don't sound quite as good when I play through them.......sounds like the VM is picking up some steam.
You could get the sound Kevin! It's just VOLUME!!!!! I see the JVM went on its way...must not have beat out the KC50 Custom eh? :)

Ha Ha, I actually still have it. Thought Mark may buy it but he had some motorcycle bills. So I pulled the ads for a bit. Haven't heard from him in a few days, so I may put it back up. It's a nice amp, but I found myself basically on one channel most of the time anyway!! Seems like my C50 has more "punch" or something too. Figure it's time to try something else......thinking about that Egnater Mod 50. Maybe you should contact Bruce and see about carrying his stuff. Just up the road a few hours from you.

Its probably the JVM not having a choke....big difference in feel.

Hey we played Put In Bay for the first time last weekend....pretty crazy! Quite a bunch of drunk people they have there.....

I prefer the JVM over the VM but, I didn't think it sucked. My tastes just gravitate towards versatile amps that do not need a boost pedal to get where I want tonally. The VM is not that. I totally can see how someone who loves mid '70's- mid '80's non hair, thrash, death, and shred metal tones would love a VM though. You can get AC/DC and Sabbath out of it easily.

to me the vm sounds like the past and the jvm sounds like the future........
if that makes any sense :D

That's strange...you and I disagree about an amp for once Chris.

I played one this afternoon (at GC) using my own guitar and I must say I really wasn't thrilled too much with it. To be honest with you I like the DSL and TSL much better.

I think I'm going to go back and try a few different cabs and stuff and see if I like it a little better. However, for now I'll pass
