Was looking at analog options for gigs, basically pedal sized 100 watt amp into a cab and decided an Orange Gain/Dual Baby would be a great option.

At first listen, the Gain Baby seemed to have more gain, more bass, and more options than my Super Crush 100 combos but still had that great tone I love. Was pretty impressed with it! Nice chugs and easy to use. I probably would get the Dual Baby because I don't need a super clean sound.

I thought I'd completely be blown away with the BluGuitar Mercury. It sounded great and had some great options, etc. but seemed like I dug a few of the amp choices rather than all of them. In the unit's defense, I didn't mess around with the smaller knobs on the side, etc. Im sure I could have found some great sounds but I really was liking just thr plug and play feel of the Orange.

I think both are great but can see why people are torn on certain gear and have an ear for what they are looking for over something else. Good to try gear out.

Cool but know that most 100w pedal sized amps require a 4ohm load in order to put out the full 100w.

those bluguitar pedal amps look pretty cool, if i was gigging again i would check them out for sure

Excellent, that's not always the case so good on them.
Hoping 70 watts is nice and loud! For gigs, my 100 watt Orange Super Crush barely gets turned up near halfway.

Shouldn't be a problem. These amps sound great at high volume and have a great midrange that always cuts thru. Can always try it through an 8 ohm cab and see if there's much difference at practice/performance levels.

Is the Orange noisy btw?
Yeah the Super Crush 100 is but it has a lot of gain so isn't really noisy until the gain goes up to a pretty good level. They sound so amazing to me that noise isn't really an issue.

I think id love a Rockerverb 50 because is is what the Super Crush 100 is based on.

My initial experience with a Dual Baby & Amp1 Iridium:

I have a Rockerverb 50 MkI and MKIII and they are great amps. I don't know why everyone thinks that they are only doom amps. It needs a boost up front to get tighter but so does a Rectifier and people love those. Once you put a boost in front to tame some low end flub its a great metal amp. I put an eq in the loop since there are no resonance or presence controls to dial in a little better and I love it as much as a 5150 or Rectifier.
