Played the new Charvel Pro Mod Wild Card today

I was really impressed. :thumbsup: It's called Dead Calm Aqua. The fit and finish was great; attention to detail was impressive. Neck pocket joint was tight, frets were dressed great etc etc. I believe the wild cards will be based on Charvel custom shop offerings of the past year or so. For me it would have been tough to pass up if it was double humbucker but it is H/S/S. That and I recently bought a pointy that just rocks!!

Great guitar though :rock:
 
I'm interested in this model too....price seems right!

Yes it does. Great looking also. Quartersawn neck too.

has to be a thin veneer.. the reason for the dark burst around the edge.
 
It's a real maple top but it's thin. I think the main reason it gets dark at the edges is because that looks cool. The whole sunburst style finish has been on quite a few guitars over the years.

I've got these guitars if you guys want them. I have 1 dead calm, aqua left and it is nice. PM me and we can discuss things I'm not allowed to discuss.

Man if I lived in the US we would be doing biz all the time :yes: With all your history/expertise on Charvels I would love having you pick me out some beauties. Having said that, I did take your advise and I snagged that pointy blue ghost flame Charvel. Killer guitar, especially for the deal I got on it. :thumbsup:

Oh wait...you're soon expecting some Custom Shop Charvels aren't you? I'm looking forward to seeing what you're getting from them. I might have to figure out a way to get one on those north of the border ;)
