What??

Oh I'll start the list :D

Stone Temple Pilots!

Core is a soakfest of chorus, delay, verb, etc..................had to learn Plush and Sex Type Thing which the Fortin nails btw and man I was piling up the stomps to get his tone. Dont need any Demeter or Vox HW stuff, Marshall covers STP.

God forbid an 80s guy grabs some sauce though.......................

I like how the guy in Incubus uses effects as well as some of the stuff on the first Perfect Circle album.

Yeah the Incubus guy does have some cool tone and uses fx nicely, always like them. Solid band.

I personally like Stephen Carpenter from The Deftones.

I don't know him personally, but I do love his tone. Not sure what he's using in the mix but it's a nice sound for sure - thick, juicy, rich...love it!! Especially off their latest Diamond Eyes release, killer tone.

V.

Marshall JMP-1s more than likely.

Oh, ya, I think you're right about that - I've read it and seen it and feel pretty sure that's his go to rig, but as far as his FX chain and so forth - no idea. His tones are really fat and rich, and have stunning thickness to them... I was blown away with his tone on Diamond Eyes, it sounded pretty straight up to the naked or untrained ear, but my guess is there's some slapback DD, a bit of chorus and reverb, other than this, no idea.

I always thought Brian May had some cool, subtle effects. Love that tone on we will rock you.

I also read somewhere he uses guitar rig 4 live and in the studio.

When they were with AIC a couple months ago he was using a rack with a couple Marshall 9200s in it and another rack with various little stuff in there including a JMP-1. Guitar tone was great but thevocals were atrocious

This is all I could find when I did a quick search on Steph Carpenter's rig...

Pretty old school news I am sure, I mean this is 10 years old some of these snaps, but whatever, had to look since we were talking about it. Looking at rack and rig pics still always makes me kinda :dunno: cuz it's how the artist uses them that really makes 'em sing. Know what I mean??

Peace,
V.

Yeah the dude from APC is a super soaker as well, he has 80s in him :D
