Great comparaison. Love the Diezel, über and Steavens.
Are you going to do your Fortin Gainmonster?

They all sounded really good.

In that context I preferred:
Herbie
Engl Savage
JCM900 SLX
PRS Archon

In a mix, I'd bet that would change somewhat. But really, you couldn't go wrong with any of those.

yeah, I'll be adding a few more before I tear down the mic/cab..

Lasse,

That's an Uberkab right? If so, did you mic the V30? or the T75?

yes, Uberkab.

I miked the V30 (but it doesn't actually have t75 anymore, replaced those with greenbacks)

I'd like to hear a similar shootout without the tubescreamer. The recording quality is exceptional

Nice comparison. Easy to navigate for me actually. Im a bit biased, but the recto was my favorite. Clear and ballsy.

Thanks

I actually plan on doing something like that... no boost and different kinds of boost.

I opted for the TS in this one to get the old MArshall amps into high gain territory, else I wouldn't have been able to add them to this comparison...and if I do it for one amp I'll have to do it for all of them of course.

Nice work dude!

Loved the 800, but as far as modern amps, that Archon was great- like an Uber with more miss and cut.

Yeah the Archon is really a sleeper amp. It is highly underrated and they can be picked up at killer prices.

Rev F and Archon were my favs for modern tone. Loved the DSL and 2203 for classic tones.

The Uber sounded just as I thought it would...Meh. Never been a fan

Thanks for all of the hard work in creating these demos

I am torn between Herbie and the SLO!

and fucking back at it again...just a few more amps (well, something between 4 and nine...depending on how lazy I get)

first are the 5150 green and red channel.

here's a link to the green channel, red is in the same playlist of course.
but since you all subscribed to my yt channel you should get an email anyway ;)

Every one of them are good IMO, enjoyed them all. Wishing I could do the same type of thing with my amps.
