Cool video, but i'm not understanding- is the batter not supposed to hit the ball? I know fuck all about cricket.
Except i think the pitcher is called a "bowler" and the field is called a pitch?

Part of the skill of being a batter is dealing with aggressive bowling that can be directed your way. It's not like baseball where it's a fowl if you pitch at a batter. Cricket is aggressive. Piers Morgan is an old dude who flapped his mouth about the quality of the English batsmen and the quality of the Australian bowling attack. So Brett Lee showed him reality which is he got a broken rib.
