Would you describ it's tone as warm or bright? How is the neck? Which pick ups?

Damn Fusion, that is one fine looking Charvel, just my tastes actually. Is that a birdseye neck? So much character in the grain. :::Drool:::

This could be long thread....loads of Charvel owners here.

Old pic, and I wish I had a better one atm, but here's mine...

Japanese Charvel 375 Deluxe. Not expensive by any means but what a killer guitar. Super fast maple neck with jumbo frets. Great feel. Very responsive, punchy and bright guitar. The single coils are glassy, high output, strat-like. The bucker is punchy as well, high output. Floating Floyd that stays in tune perfectly no matter how much you abuse it. No regrets on this little guy. I'd like to get another.

Nice, is that a D-tuna on there too? I would play the hell out of that thing  (I would put a black volume knob on though :D)

Bought this new sometime in 1989. At the time, everybody else seemed to have graphics or fancy paint on their guitars. My friends called it the coffee table guitar..  I still love the way it looks. This, and my 1985 black Kramer Barretta were my only guitars. Don't really play it anymore. I've kind of moved on to smaller, narrower necks.

Yeah D tuna, brass block, Koa body, it really sings! It has a JB in the bridge I forget what the neck is,some kind of Duncan.I have been meaning to change the knob. It is kinda gaudy.

I also have this Model 6 I bought in 1990. (decal is gone now)

And this is the Custom Shop that I got back in April or May. I FREAKING LOVE this new Custom Shop. It is as good or better than any original Custom Shop I ever owned and I have owned probably 50 original Charvels. This guitar is ALL I play since I got it. And the funny thing is that even though I own a guitar shop and leave a couple of Charvels at work and have a couple at home, I bring this guitar to work with me every day in case I get a chance to play it. I also bring it home every night in case I get a chance to play at home. Seriously, every day for 6 or 7 months to and from work with me. My favorite guitar have ever owned and that pains me to say it, because that purple one was my baby for 27 years. Now it collects dust.

And some history. Charvel advertisement 1981:

Here are mine. The first and the third are pre serial #. The first one I ordered from Charvel in 1980 and they reversed the colors from what I ordered. Hopefully the only one they did that on which would make it more unique. It also has the matching headstock. The third one was owned by Mick Mars and I think is an 81. It has too me the best neck of all Charvel necks on it, the pointy headstock necks being a close second. . The two pointy headstocks are an 82 and an 83 if I remember right. The black one is a dark olive color if you look real close. And the last one is my only newer one, My crossed swords, which is three years old. Nothing like an old Charvel to me. Great thread. Steven.

heres a couple of my charvels i used to own, i had more but i don't have pics of them all.
