I'm aware of this guy but is he really that much of a public guitar figure that he has to deal with all that repeatedly?! It seems beyond ridiculous. I can't imagine a high profile player I'm aware of who has a laundry list of "fuck, no" like that. I'm sure he's a decent dude but it kind of comes off as my life is so fast and fabulous that you can't possibly have anything of worth or note to contribute, but buy my shit, because I am, after all, Bumblefoot.

I'm sure guy's like Gilbert, Guthrie and Vai etc handle all that just fine (probably through an assistant) without stupid declarations on their websites. Or do they have these declarations?

i didnt think of it that way but i think you're right, a lot of bigger/major lead guitar guys don't have anything of this sort on their website

that being said, i think its the axl rose effect...i vaguely remember a video from back in the 90s where james hetfield was reading axl rose's backstage requests

He is being baraged with e-mail's, letters. requests, and being used as a "Go between" in reference to what is going on with the band (Axl), or being asked because of his position in the band what he can do or get for other people in reference to Guns and Roses (axl).

I don't actually think he likes being in GN'R any more. He's a very talented and creative dude and the fact that they haven't put out anything new in ages is obviously a frustrating thing for him in interviews. The money must be nice though.

I'm aware of him and who he plays for. But I understand your point about the Axl effect. I still think he should just deal behind the scenes and get rid of his stupid list. He'll get the emails either way.
