I like all those effects at the right time. The one I'd use the least is tremelo, but really, something like a ring modulator is next to useless.

I MUST have reverb for clean and blues. For high gain Metal, yeah it muddies things too much.
If an amp doesn't have it, then there is something missing and I have no interest in it.
Reverb very much depends on how much you use. It's not just an on off effect.
It can muddy the tone if applied with wreckless abandon.
But when used just right it can really brighten and liven up a tone.
My preference has been for real spring reverbs.
But I've come to really like digital reverb built into an amp.
My Egnater Vengeance head is the first amp I've had that doesn't have real spring analog reverb.
It uses a digital reverb, but man it sounds sweet very nice.
My least used effect, and I'd say least liked, is tremolo.
C'mon, how many of you actually use tremolo EVER?
I can't believe all the negative comments about reverb yet I'm the only one mentioning the uselessness of tremolo?
I've heard it used decently on some tunes, but I've never been able to use it on anything I play.
OH, and wah is useless?
Are you freaking kidding?![]()
For the price versus usefulness ratio, I would agree, I don't use my univibe that much. I find I use my phase 90 a lot more.wolf5150":1ixl4re2 said:Univibe.
Not in the list though
