I used Boomers for years because George Lynch did back in the day...I finally changed over to Blue Steels once I realized that Boomers suck

(I used to break them way too often).
Blue Steels are great for one gig and then they lose their tone. For people who like "dead strings", these are ok as they seemed to last for quite some time after that initial loss of brightness.
I got turned on to DR Tite Fits in the late 90's and that's all I use now. To me, they sound bigger, last longer (tonally and physically) than other uncoated strings, and feel better. The "feel" thing is tough to qualify...it's almost like they have this smoother/more "rubbery"/elastic feel to them. If you compare them to, say, D'Addario, you will definitely notice the difference.
