...for less than 200 bucks?

I have garageband which I use a lot record quick ideas that hit me, but I want something more portable that won't require the computer.

I've seen the Zoom H2 and H4 bundle but they're Eur.185 and Eur.245 (too much for what I need)

Then there's this cheap Swissonic MDR-2 for Eur.79. Now I don't know if it's worth it or a piece of crap.

I want something small that has a built in mic and Line in connection for my guitar

what do yo use?

I've been using the M-Audio Microtrack II to record band practices. The sound is pretty good with the stock electret microphone, and it has phantom power dual 1/4" TRS jacks so you can use any mic you want. The original firmware was complete shit, but since then it's been pretty good. The only thing I don't like is that it uses Compact Flash cards rather than SD cards. You can record MP3 or WAV, and at the highest quality MP3 setting I still haven't filled up the 2gig CF card I put in it. It even has an S/PDIF out.

I think mine was $300 when I got it, but I think they've gone down in price since then?

Indeed, looking for the same thing, around the same price. Any good one for 100 bones or less?
