What about the Alesis i/o Dock - wouldn't that be an awesome interface for Bias?

YES.....it has all of the in's and outs and is a great price. I'm looking for something smaller, though. Probably going with the One. The Line 6 piece looks great but lots of issues with running it with the new iPad and phones....that coupled with them being bought out by Yamaha has me thinking perhaps I'll pass on that.

Can I just use bias and my iPad to gig?

absolutely! I know some people over at Sevenstring.org who replaced their whole rig and just use BIAS now!

Is there a (noticeable) lag when changing presets?

This thing has caught my attention big time!

I don't have a pedal yet so I haven't changed presets, I'll see if they can be triggered by hand and try it out.

Bias sounds so good into my vht 2150, it has me considering selling my axe fx 2. Seriously.

I paid $12.99 for Bias!

Right now, deciding whether to wait for their footswitch that is coming soon or build my own to use with an airturn Bluetooth transmitter.

Need info! They're coming out with a foot controller?!

I LOVE BIAS. POD HD500 is up for sale right now, because the $500 tablet I had anyway because of work, and this silly $20 app just floors any modeler in the sub-$1000 range (IMHO, of course).

PG did an astounding job. I use mine either internally with GarageBand for iOS, or through the SonicPort's 1/4" to my Steinberg interface, into the computer.

There already is a foot controller that works. Check it out.

Man I sure hate 0's and 1's but that sounds really freaking good. This APP will be on my Ipad before the day is over. OP thanks for a great post

Right now PG is about to come out with its own pedal.

There are a few pedals that work. Air turn, ik blueboard.

Personally I am going to order the air turn Bluetooth dongle and then build a Four button footswitche with real carling momentary in an indestructible case. These plastic foot pedals seem like toys to me.

That's pretty cool, but I'd rather stick with my existing interface (iRig Pro) and get something bluetooth. I've got MIDI on my iRig as well, so perhaps I can get something going there too.

Picked up an interface to work with both my mac and iPad and got a good boxing day deal on it. Going to hook it up later today. I've had a few Apogee products over the years and for the most part they have been very good. Hopefully this one trumps them all.

Going to have some fun over the next while! Can't wait!

That is a seriously nice interface, no matter what you're connecting to.

I hate myself right now for buying Apple software but this stuff was too good to pass up. I don't get the Positive Grid JamUp plug till next Thursday so no fun till then but I can learn the interface.

do yourself a favor and get the line6 sonic port sound is 100 times better imo, it eliminates the headphone jack clipping bs.. yes its $90 but if you use it alot..also saves wear and tear on that little jack..only prob. is you cant charge it while using it..not a problem for me battery lasts long enough..

Use whatever works for you, and don't worry about who makes it. All big companies are evil, it's difficult, if not impossible to avoid. :D

great setup man! the apogee stuff kicks ass

Killer tone and tune! I love the way you can change out any component, from preamp tubes, to transformers, to speaker cab mic placement. It would drive me insane, but it's awesome.

WHY would they call it Positive Grid BIAS? To me, any time I see BIAS, I'm thinking tube amp bias probe, or something like that. Very confusing!
