It used to be the LP on the left. It got to be to heavy on the shoulder (14 lbs!!) so after alot of searching found this Anderson Hollow Cobra on the right....been my main gtr ever since.

Nah.....its still good for recording as long as I am sitting down!

I got that Martin years ago and the bumper sticker was on it from the broken spoke. I have never been there but the guitar sure has.

Neither of these are very revolutionary.....but over the last 10 years I've generally been leaving most of my 'unique & sexy' guitars in the closet while I split my time between these 2. If I have these 2 with me.....I feel capable of any challenge! (key word..."feel"!)

550k pot? Sounds interesting! What difference dya hear compared to a normal 500k pot Dave?

I just took a new CTS pot and opened it up and made the resistnace 550 vs 500. It opens up the tone a tiny bit. The best thing is when a pot goes bad, I can replace it with the exact same resistance and maintain the same sound.

Cool! How did you make it 550k? Some modification to the inside of the actual pot or something?

I scrape the outside edge of the carbon track as evenly as possible until it meters 550k. Takes 3 minutes to do.

Very cool i didnt even know that was possible! Will have to try it at some point
