Which power tubes do you guys recommend for best possible tone for my 96 TOV head? will use it mostly for high gain applications....has mesa 430's in it now but i suspect they are the stock tubes

I bought an orange tremoverb combo in around 94/95 I think, and it was BY FAR the best mesa I ever played. It was so fat sounding, I could not even believe it! just thought I would mention what a killer amp it was!

Back in the mid 90's I bought a Tverb brand new with the stock 6L6's. Loved it.
Put 34's in it after the first year and loved it even more.
Just bought one again a few months ago with 6L6's. Took a while to remember how to dial it in but found the tone again. Swapped in new Ruby 34's and like it even more. My vote is to go with 34's.

Ruby El34 are for me better than other brands. I however preferred a mix of 5881 and JJ 6l6's.
