My little tech 21 trademark 10 is starting to take a shit, whats a good replacement? The main Things I want are good high gain tones without any pedals, and ability to do that at very low volumes. Tubes are probably going to be too loud.

those Yamaha thr amps are interesting.
blackstar ht5 head is great also

Peavy bandit has pretty good high gain tone.

How does the HT-5 do at whisper volumes? Where I do I do a lot of my practicing, is right here at the computer, playing along with a song etc at tv volumes. Will it do that low of a volume?

Just get a Yamaha THR10 or THR10X and be done with it. It's fucking killer.

It does great at mousefart volumes....actually....even baby mousefart volumes !....seriously...

The best little amp high gain stuff IMHO is the Roland Cube.
